This meditation is an antimalarial drug used in the treatment of severe malaria particularly when resistant to other antimatarial drugs.

Pregnancy : Do not use this drug during preganancy without seeking advice from your doctor particularly during the first three months of pregnancy, If uncertain, It is essential to seek advice from your doctor or pharmacist.

Do not exceed to the prescribed dosage. In case of overdosage, urgent symptomatic treatment in a specialized unit is required.
Breast-feding : In the absence of information concerning its excretion in breast-milk, use in breast-feeding should be stopped. In case of doubt, do not hesitate to seek advice from your doctor or pharmacist. In order to avoid possible drug interactions, inform your doctor or pharmist of any other treatment you are taking. Keep out of the reach of children.

As with all medications, This drug may cause side effects in some cases; in a few cases, laboratory-tests abnormalities may occur : lowering of rcticulocyte count and slight increase in tramsaminases.
