| When this Medicince Should be Used? |
| GBACTIN® is indicated for the treatment of Certain respiratory,
gastrointestinal, urethral and meningeal bacterial infections. |
| CAUTION! |
When this medicine should not be used ?
GBACTIN® must not be used in the following cases
- Known allergy to chloramphenicol and derivatives or to
any other component.
- History of bone marrow failure (decrease of blood count).
- Severe renal insufficiency.
When in doubt, it is essential to seek advice from your doctor or pharmacist.

| In order to avoid possible interactions between several drugs, you should systematically report to your doctor or pharmacist any other ongoing treatment. |
| Pregnancy & Breast Feeding |
| Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or wish to become pregnant. Breast-feeding is not advised during treatment since this medicine crosses into breast milk. |
| How to use this Medicine? |
Dosage :
Adults : 500 mg tablets 4 times in a day
Children: 250 mg tablets 4 times in a day
This drug is RESERVED FOR ADULT AND CHILD OVER 6 YEARS OLD.
The intake of the tablet is contra-indicated in child less than 6 years old because he can swallow the tablet down the wrong way and suffocate : pharmaceutical forms more adapted exist. The usual dose depends on the patient's age and the infection to be treated. In all cases, you must strictly comply with your doctor's prescription and not modify the dosage except on medical advice. |

| Undesirable & Unpleasant Effects |
| As any active drug, GBACTIN* may, in certain people give rise to varying degrees of unpleasant side effects such as a decrease in certain blood cells, white Blood cells (red blood cells, white Blood cells and platelets, i.e. blood components involved in blood coagulation) These effects are reversible once treatment is Discontinued. Report to your doctor or pharmacist any undesirable and unpleasant effect not mentioned in this leaflet. |
