Dihydroartemisinin 60 mg

| Pharmacology |
Powerful plasmodicide of malaria parasite agamete which quickly controls symptoms. Highly
effective against all types of malaria including multi-drug resistant malaria. It has high safety
and low toxicity. Reproduction toxicology, increase foetal absorption during pregnancy in mice.
No mutation effect observed. |
| Pharmacokinetics |
Oral administration of dihydroartemisinin. Absorption is rapid and complete, and the active
agent takes effect promptly. Human Pharmacokinetics parameters :
Oral dosage 2 mg/kg, Tmax = 1.33h, Cmax=0.71mg/ml, T1/2=1.57h,
Special features :
absorption rapidly, distribution extensively, excretion and metabolism quickly. |
| Indication |
| All types of malaria including severe malaria, cerebral malaria and multi-drug resistant malaria. |
| Side Effect |
| No side effects have been reported on clinical dosage. However, very few cases of temporary
reticulocyte subsidence have been noted. |
| Contraindications |
| The drug should be used with care in early period of pregnant woman. |
| Storage |
| Preserve in well-closed, light-resistant containers. Store in a cool place. |
